Show “Food Drive” video (it’s 30 seconds) as the bell rings.

Coming to you LIVE from the library, it’s MHTV!

Today is Friday, Nov. 13.

Mission Hill is holding its annual food drive. The food drive gives you a chance to participate in fighting hunger. The donations will go to Second Harvest food bank. Donations are important because 1 in 4 children in our community are going to bed hungry every night. This is a great way for the Mission Hill community to get involved and to help others!

Some suggested food items are soups, stews, chili, beans, pasta, canned meat, cereal, etc. Make sure it's nutritious and non-perishable, please! Second Harvest also accepts checks and money donations. Students can drop off donations in their 6th period class. Small donations make a big difference! Thank you!

Did you know that Mission Hill has an online auction happening and there are great things to bid on and some really good deals! Is a new NHS skateboard or Electra bike on your wishlist this year?

Your parents can bid on these items and more online.  There are also great things donated by some Mission Hill teachers & staff to bid on like disc golf, climbing, sewing, cooking and more! The link is on the Mission Hill website or you can check out the auction display outside the office to see more items and grab a reminder with the auction web address.  Ask your parents to check it out!

This month is Native American Heritage month, and on Thursday, we’ll watch Part 1 of the film “Smoke Signals” at lunch in the computer lab.  It was the first feature length film to be written, directed, and co-produced by Native Americans.

According to Weather.com there is a 95% chance of rain today at noon, so please think about where you will be if today is a rainy day brunc or lunch.  Remember, once hall close you have to stay in the auditorium, library, or classroom.  Roaming the halls is not an option.
