Coming to you LIVE from the library, it’s MHTV! Good morning, Mission Hill! Today is Friday, January 8, an odd period day.

Announcements:

Students! The end of the semester is coming up quickly.  Did you know that we do not have school Monday, January 18th or Friday, January 22nd?  This  means focus week is very short. Students, plan on attending office hours now rather than waiting.

The hallways get pretty crowded, so please make it easier for everyone by walking to the right side in the hallways.  It’s  as if you were driving down the road, and this will keep hallway traffic running more smoothly.

Students, if you would like to have an audiobook to listen to as you read a class novel, please come to the library, and we can help you get set up.  8th graders, many of you are reading Animal Farm or Farenheit 451, so come to the library for an mp3 or bring a friend and read/listen during office hours.

Today during SSR, Mateo and Liliana will be quietly visiting classroom to take photos of staff and student reading throughout the school for a MHTV video.  Please just continue reading as if they weren’t there:)

Did you recently check out Double Fudge by Judy Blume or The House of Hades by Rick Riordan from the public library? These books were returned here. Please claim them as soon as possible and return them to the public library to avoid fees.

Word of the Day- (practice with Holly or Martha listening to make sure you know how to pronounce the words:)

Events:

Wrestling and Girls Volleyball sign-ups may be continuing today on the Athletic Bulletin Board outside the Main Office.

Today-Blake Walton Tournament.

Coming to you LIVE from the library, it’s MHTV! Today is Wednesday, Dec 16, a full 6 period day.

This week’s schedule is a little different.  Today is a full six period day with dismissal at 2:25pm., and tomorrow is a short six period day with dismissal at 12:52pm. Winter break begins Friday.

A cold front is moving through the Monterey Bay Area which will bring freezing temperatures (low 30’s F).  This may create slip hazards in low lying areas where water collects and in shaded areas. Be careful when walking and avoid puddled areas where ice may have formed.

Today is Game Day in the Library.

The AVID class is still selling holiday cookiegrams at brunch and lunch today! Cookiegrams will cost $1. Please be sure you know the first and last name and 6th period class of the person you are sending the cookiegram to.
